St. Augustine's Standout Marine Canvas, Covers & Upholstery Pros

Custom Marine Canvas leads the local market with a 4.8-star average across 13 reviews. Owners return to the shop for a wide range of work, from quick bimini repairs to comprehensive cockpit cushions and boat enclosures. Reviewers also single out its handling of emergency wind damage repairs and custom canvas, which makes it a strong reference point for owners who need both urgent fixes and planned projects.

U.S. Marine Canvas holds a 4.6-star average across 9 reviews. Clients return for the craftsmanship of Burt and his ability to restore aging canvas back to life. Multiple customers praise work that has held up through hurricanes and stayed strong over time, a theme that stands out in a market where canvas durability matters.

The Wider Local Field

Beyond the two leaders, the St. Augustine market includes Boat Broke, which is listed with 0.0 stars and no reviews yet. Its track record is not yet visible on Boatwork, so owners should weigh it on its listed services and direct conversation rather than on review history.

Across all three verified pros, the average rating is 4.7 stars across 22 reviews. That figure reflects a small, concentrated pool rather than a deep bench, so the breadth of this market shows up more in the services offered than in the number of pros. Owners can look for bimini top repair and replacement, boat aft curtain installation, canvas enclosure repair, fading and cracking repair, snaps and fasteners repair, zipper repair, boat carpet removal and replacement, and custom cockpit covers. Matching a specific job to the right pro is therefore a more deliberate step here than in a crowded market, and reading the review themes for each pro helps narrow the choice.

How the Top Pros Compare

Custom Marine Canvas has both the higher rating and the larger review count, with 4.8 stars across 13 reviews compared with 4.6 stars across 9 reviews for U.S. Marine Canvas. The gap between them is 0.2 stars, so both are rated highly by owners.

The review themes point to different emphases. Custom Marine Canvas is described for breadth, covering everything from small bimini fixes to full enclosures and cushions, alongside emergency wind damage work. U.S. Marine Canvas is praised for restoring aging canvas and for work that has withstood hurricanes. Boat Broke has no reviews to compare against yet. Owners weighing options should match the type of job to each pro's documented strengths, rather than deciding on the star rating alone.
