Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 12, 2026
1. Introduction
Yacht Supply, LLC (“Boatwork,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website Boatwork.co and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information from users of our Platform, including boat owners and marine service professionals (“Service Providers”). This Privacy Policy applies to all Boatwork URLs, subdomains, and services. Subscribers to Boatwork Assist at ai.boatwork.co are also covered by the Boatwork Assist Privacy Policy Supplement.
By accessing or using our Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use our Platform.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in several ways when you use our Platform:
a. Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, password, and location.
- Storefront Information: Service Providers may provide business name, business type, address, service specialties, hours of operation, social media links, photos, and videos.
- Quote and Project Information: When you request quotes, we collect project details, service needs, location, photos, videos, and contact information.
- Payment Information: All payments on the Platform are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. Card numbers are entered only into Stripe-hosted pages and payment fields (such as Stripe Checkout and Stripe Elements) and go directly to Stripe. Card numbers never pass through or are stored on Boatwork's servers. From Stripe we receive only limited payment details, such as the amount, payment status, transaction identifiers and, for a saved card, the card brand and last four digits.
- Booking Information: When you book and pay for a service on a Service Provider's storefront, Stripe Checkout collects your name, email address, phone number and payment details. Boatwork receives your name, email address, phone number, what you booked, the time slot, the amount paid and the related Stripe references.
- Payment Account Information: Service Providers who accept bookings, and affiliates who receive payouts, set up a Stripe account through Stripe's onboarding forms shown inside the Platform. Identity, tax and bank account details entered there are collected by Stripe under Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. Boatwork does not receive bank account numbers or identity documents; we receive only the account's status, such as whether it can accept payments and receive payouts.
- Communications: Messages, reviews, ratings, and other content you submit through the Platform.
b. Information Collected Automatically
- Device and Usage Data: Browser type, operating system, IP address, pages visited, referring URLs, time spent on pages, and clickstream data.
- Location Data: We infer your approximate location from your IP address and any location information you provide in forms to connect you with nearby Service Providers.
- Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to maintain sessions, analyze traffic, and deliver relevant content. See Section 6 below.
c. Information from Third Parties
- We may receive information about Service Providers from publicly available sources, including Google Reviews, to supplement profiles on the Platform.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Platform and our services.
- Connect boat owners with Service Providers based on location, service needs, and availability.
- Process transactions and send related information, including purchase confirmations and invoices.
- Process bookings, including confirmations, refunds and payment disputes.
- Send transactional communications such as quote notifications, lead alerts, and account updates.
- Send marketing and promotional communications, including newsletters, tips, and offers. You may opt out of these at any time.
- Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities on the Platform.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions, abuse, and other illegal activities.
- Personalize and improve your experience on the Platform.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
4. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Between Users: When a boat owner submits a quote request, their project details and contact information are shared with matched Service Providers. When you book a service, your name, email address, phone number and booking details are shared with the Service Provider you booked so they can deliver the service and contact you about it. Service Provider storefronts are publicly visible on the Platform.
- Service Providers and Vendors: We share information with third-party companies that perform services on our behalf, including payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (Resend), SMS messaging (Twilio), cloud hosting, storage and database services (Vercel, Amazon Web Services, Neon), network and DNS services (Cloudflare), maps, analytics and advertising (Google), and AI features such as writing and search assistance (Google Cloud, including Vertex AI, which runs Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini models). These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us. Stripe also processes payment information under its own privacy policy.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Boatwork, our users, or others.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as a business asset.
- With Your Consent: We may share information for other purposes with your consent or at your direction.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your personal information to train or fine-tune AI models.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Booking and payment records (who booked, what was booked, when, the amounts and the Stripe references) are kept for as long as needed to meet tax, accounting and legal obligations and to handle refunds and payment disputes, including after an account is closed. If you wish to request deletion of your account and associated data, please contact us at [email protected].
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use the following types of cookies and tracking technologies:
- Essential Cookies: Required for Platform functionality, including authentication and session management.
- Analytics Cookies: We use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand how users interact with our Platform, measure performance, and improve our services.
- Advertising Cookies: We use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.
We do not load analytics or advertising scripts on pages that host payment forms. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform.
7. Security
We implement commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of passwords, secure data transmission, and access controls.
Card payments are handled by Stripe, which is certified as a PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider. Our payment flows are designed so that card numbers are entered only into Stripe-hosted pages and fields; Boatwork does not store, process or transmit card numbers on its own systems.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Third-Party Links
Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Boatwork. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
9. Children's Privacy
Our Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected].
10. Your Rights and Choices

California Residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, request deletion of personal information, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date, and we will notify you of material changes before they take effect, for example by email to the address on your account or by a notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after we notify you of a change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
