Booking Terms

Effective October 14, 2026

What changed: New.

Booking Terms. These Booking Terms apply when you book and pay for a service on a Service Provider's storefront on Boatwork. They are part of the Boatwork Terms of Use, which also apply, including Sections 19 and 21 (Disputes; Governing Law and Venue). Boatwork is operated by Yacht Supply, LLC.

1. Who you are buying from. The business named at checkout sells the service to you and is the merchant of record. Your payment goes directly to that business's Stripe account. Boatwork runs the booking and, where these terms say so, issues refunds on the business's behalf, but Boatwork is not a party to your purchase of the service and does not hold your payment.

2. What you agree to at checkout. When you request a time, we place a hold on your card for the price. You are charged only when the business confirms your booking. If the business has turned on automatic confirmation, your booking is confirmed and charged right away. Before you pay we show you the service, its price, the time (if you pick one), the business's name, location and contact details, and the business's refund policy. By continuing to payment you agree to these Booking Terms and the Terms of Use, and you acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

3. Payment. You pay on a checkout page hosted by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to Boatwork, and Stripe's privacy policy applies to them. Prices are set by the business, in U.S. dollars, and include any tax the business charges.

4. Time slots. A time slot is held for about 35 minutes while you check out, and then while the business considers your request. The business has 24 hours to confirm, or until 1 hour before the requested time if that is sooner. If it declines or does not confirm in time, the hold on your card is released and you are not charged.

5. The refund policy that applies to your booking. The refund policy shown when you requested the booking governs it once it is confirmed, even if the business changes its policy later. It is also in your confirmation email and on your booking page.

6. Cancelling inside the policy. Before the business confirms, you can withdraw your request at any time from your booking page and the hold is released; you are not charged. If you cancel within the refund policy, for example at least 24 hours before your booking under a 24-hour policy, using the cancel link in your confirmation email or on your booking page, Boatwork refunds the full amount you paid to your card on the business's behalf. You do not need the business's approval. For a service where the time is arranged with you after you pay, you can cancel for a full refund until the business schedules the work. Refunds usually reach your card within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

7. Outside the policy, and other changes. To cancel outside the policy, to change the time, or if the business's policy says changes and refunds are handled case by case, contact the business directly. Replies to booking emails go to the business. Any refund outside the policy is the business's decision.

8. If the business cancels or moves your booking. If the business cancels a confirmed booking, you get a full refund. If it moves a confirmed booking to a new time, we email you the new time, and you can cancel for a full refund at any time before the new time from your booking page.

9. The service itself. The business is responsible for the work. Questions about the work, its quality or its result are between you and the business, and Section 19(d) of the Terms of Use applies. Card disputes (chargebacks) are between you, your card issuer and the business.

10. Messages about your booking. We email you a confirmation, a reminder the day before a timed booking, and notices if the booking is moved, cancelled or refunded. These are service messages about your booking, not marketing.
