Malcolm Elliott first went to sea as a cadet engineering officer and was a chief engineer by the time he was 24. He was headed hunted to a German shipping company and became their troubleshooter flying around the world fixing any problems on the ships. He started up and ran a marine engineering and boat building company before moving to South Florida nearly 30 years ago to start surveying yachts. He now leads one of the largest surveying companies completing work on vessels from 20 to 250 feet in length all over the world and over 1200 per year.
