The Wider Local Field

Inverness has two verified Marine Canvas, Covers & Upholstery pros, which places the local market at #43 in Florida for this specialty. Together they carry an average rating of 5.0 across 36 reviews. The field is narrow, so the decision is less about scanning a long list and more about matching a pro's focus to your job. The sub-services handled in this market span a wide range: Bimini top repair and replacement, boat aft curtain installation, canvas enclosure repair, fading and cracking repair, snap and fastener repair, zipper repair, boat carpet removal and replacement, and custom cockpit covers. Owners with a single repair and owners ordering a full custom piece both find the scope represented.

For owners willing to travel a short distance, Canvas Experts in Homosassa is counted for this page at 14 miles away. It is not located in Inverness, and its ratings are not included in the figures above.

How the Top Pros Compare

Both local leaders score highly, and the main difference is review volume. RJW Custom Designs Upholstery has 30 reviews to Lynn's Stitch Shop's 6, so its 5.0 rating rests on a larger sample. Lynn's 4.8 is still strong and draws praise for the same core qualities: workmanship and fair pricing. RJW's reviews emphasize personal attention and range across RV and marine work, while Lynn's reviews emphasize quality and a kind, old-fashioned shop experience. Owners weighing the two should consider whether they want a husband-and-wife team with broad upholstery experience or a shop run by Lynn with a focus on quality upholstery.
